As such, the Malaysian government sought to address the issue of increasing travellers and subsequent traffic jams by establishing the Pudu Raya terminus which primarily serves travellers seeking to travel to the North of the country by bus. The Terminal Bersepadu Selatan is relatively new and it serves passengers travelling to the southern parts of Malaysia. As such, if you are seeking to travel by bus from Melaka to KL, Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) is where you need to board your bus. Bus services from this terminal run from about 7am in the morning till late closing at about 11pm. It is important to note that there are two other bus stations in KL. These are the Hentian Pekeliling and the Putra bus termini.
There are about 8 registered bus operators serving passengers from KL to Melaka. These are Transnasional, Konsortium Bas Express, Maju Express, Delima, Mayang Sari, Cepat & Cekap Express, Jebat Express, and Nice Executive Coach. As such, these operators allow for a bus to leave TSB for Melaka every thirty minutes. Note that it is only the Transnasional buses which ply directly from the KL International Airport directly to the coastal town of Melaka. This operator also serves the travellers entering the country through the low cost aircraft carrier terminal. However, a limited number of daily bus trips are available for travellers seeking to get to Melaka from the KL airport. It is thus important for visitors to schedule travel plans while bearing in mind the bus schedules when travelling to Melaka via from the airport.

It is relatively easy to procure a ticket for a bus from KL to Melaka on the day of departure. However, if you are travelling during a festive time, it becomes rather difficult and one should considered advanced booking tickets. One can also acquire bus tickets online. The price ranges differently between different operators and ticket prices range from 15 to 50 RM.
